We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher in the filed od physical oceanography. Prior experience in ocean optics and ecological modelling is desirable. The postodoc will work closely with the project team to develop novel models of primary production and test them against data.

Specific tasks would involve:

- working with ocean colour remote sensing data

- working with in situ data

- applying primary production models

- using inverse modelling for parameter estimation  

Conditions for this position are:

 - PhD in the field of physics

Additional criteria are:

- published scientific papers

- experience in teaching at university level

- participation in research projects 

- experience in numerical modelling, data analysis and machine learning

- experience working in Python is desirable
